On the 18th & 19th October 2023, BPAM had hosted the Regional Dialogue and Knowledge Exchange Forum 2023 where it had invited its ASEAN counterparts, namely the PT Penilai Harga Efek Indonesia, Thai Bond Market Association, Philippine Dealing & Exchange Corp., and Vietnam Bond Market Association to Kuala Lumpur. Please read below for the breakdown of these 2 days.

Day 1

On the first day, BPAM and its guests conducted the Regional Dialogue and Knowledge Exchange Forum 2023 which served as opportunity for participants to network, learn from each other's experiences in their respective countries, and explore avenues for future cooperation. Hosted on the same day as the 8th Pricing Consultative Group meeting, this gave the ASEAN delegates the opportunity to get to know the local players of the Malaysian Fixed Income Market.

Day 2

On the second day, BPAM continued the Regional Dialogue and Knowledge Exchange Forum 2023 with familiarisation visits to two key entities in Malaysia’s financial industry: RAM Holdings Berhad and the Securities Commission Malaysia.

At RAM Holdings Berhad, the ASEAN delegates were given a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of RAM's role in the Malaysian financial ecosystem. The visit included engaging presentations and discussions on RAM Holdings’ background and initiatives in the bond and sukuk market.

Afterwards, participants continued their knowledge exchange journey with a visit to the Securities Commission Malaysia. This insightful visit allowed participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape in Malaysia and the measures in place to maintain market integrity.

Day 2 concluded with a brief visit to BPAM’s office, where participants were treated to a tour of the office and a behind-the-scenes glimpse of BPAM’s daily activities.. The day's events culminated in a heartwarming gift exchange ceremony, fostering a sense of camaraderie and gratitude among all those in attendance.
